Period instrument string quartet Fin de Siècle, which translates to “end of the century” has been lauded for the evocative palette of colors and possibilities they elicit from their repertoire. Since their formation in 2017, they have focused on performing 19th and early 20th century repertoire on gut strings - a setup that was used well after 1945 despite modern day common practices that point to the contrary.

Fin de Siecle can be seen performing across Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and regularly appear at the St Botolph Club, Salem Athenaeum, First Church in Wenham, Ellingwood Chapel in Nahant. They have also appeared on the Music of Reality Concert Series in Boston, Bach’s Lunch Concert Series in Nashua, and at the First Church in Concord. Frequently collaborating with local talent, recent collaborators include soprano Ute Gfrerer and composer David Ibbett.

Fin de Siècle is comprised of Sarah Ibbett (violin), Katharina Radlberger (violin), Karen McConomy (viola), and Jennifer Morsches (cello).
